In the holiday I went to hamilton zoo with my family . Some of mum and dad's friends were there too.We stayed in a motel. In the morning we went to have lunch at mum and dad's friends house.But before
that we were in auckland for cousin Ben's birthday. It was a cowboy party ''AND then we went to hamilton'' and then we cam home. By Taj

Together Everyone Achieves More
Friday's Discovery focused on the key competency...Relating to Others. These photo's show how well the children worked together to complete co-operative tasks. We decided there was no I in TEAM and it was much more fun to have someone to work with.

KC Award winners Week 11
Congratulations to Kalissa and Gabrielle who were the KC award winners for week 11. Kalissa received her KC award for participating and contributing (fantastic presenting at our whole school assembly) and Gabrielle for using language, symbols and text (a fantastic holiday diary).

Happy birthday to all the children who have turned six recently...it has been a busy month in Room 3. In Room 3 you are allowed to stand on the table while the class sings happy birthday...but only on your special day.

Aimee shared her photo's from home for news. She showed us a gorgeous photo of her peacock. This got us thinking...what did we know about peacocks and what did we want to find out? Listen to our ideas on this voicethread. Our next step for learning in oral language is to discuss whether or not our recordings are very clear.

Key Competency
Congratulations to NgaMotu and Malcom who won this weeks key competency award on Week 10.
Assembly Success!!!
I was so proud of Room 3 on Friday! The kids performed superbly. I was impressed with how they managed themselves...remembered their lines, spoke clearly, sang beautifully and sat very still for a long time! Check out these photo's.

KC Award Winners for Week 8
Congratulations to Cody and Harrison who were both awarded the key competency awards for managing self in week 8. Both boys have been taking responsibility for their learning and practicing new skills in their own free time. Harrison in the pool during free swimming and Cody at home with his writing. Congratulations!
